Task: to create a website for a coworking center in Ivano-Frankivsk

Terms: CMS WordPress with basic SEO settings and indexing control after release. The site is bilingual: Ukrainian and English.

Specialists involved in the project:

  • project manager;
  • web-designer;
  • Head of Development;

  • SEO-copywriter.

Getting started with the project

Briefing is an obligatory element of the start of our work with projects. Thanks to this survey, we can form a preliminary picture of the client’s desires and input data. This will allow us to recreate not only the customer’s idea, but also take into account all possible aspects of website development.

After the client filled out the brief and had a general call, the team was faced with the task of creating a multi-page website for a coworking space located in Ivano-Frankivsk. Based on this, we formed a strategy:

  1. Creating a website structure based on the client’s wishes and competitive analysis;
  2. Collecting the semantic core and adjusting the structure based on it;
  3. The chosen CMS WordPress will speed up the website development, as well as manage the site from the admin panel by the client;
  4. Implementation of the preliminary website design and its presentation;
  5. Implementation of edits after the 1st release;
  6. The second release of the site with the corrections taken into account;
  7. Implementation of basic SEO settings;
  8. Third final release of the site and opening for indexing;
  9. Guarantee stage: control of the correct indexing of the site.

When we took on the project, we wanted to help our client not just create a website with basic SEO, but a platform for attracting leads. Where there will be a convenient booking and payment system. After that, the client enters the coworking space and sits down at his pre-booked seat. The website should also have the latest information about events and innovations.

We divided the entire process into 3 releases: the first (design), the second (implementation of the design on a test domain), and the final release of the full version of the site.

Creating a website structure based on the client’s wishes and competitive analysis

The structure of a website is a kind of skeleton that forms the basis of the site and is a crucial factor for its further promotion. It is a well-formed structure based on the semantic core and taking into account the client’s wishes that is the basis for attracting organic traffic.

However, even when creating a website, competitor research is an important aspect. To do this, we took a popular thematic query in the region “coworking Ivano-Frankivsk”.

The emphasis was on regional promotion, so the competitors’ websites were taken from the city of Ivano-Frankivsk and the region.

Having evaluated them, the next step was to collect the semantic core for the site, on the basis of which we will build the structure. that is, to form the structure of the new site, you need to:

  • analysis of competitors’ websites and their structure;
  • collection of the semantic core and analysis of audience requests;
  • client’s wishes.

The process of creating a website from scratch

Having a kind of “skeleton” and based on the client’s wishes, which were voiced in the brief, we created a preliminary design of the site. This was the main step towards the realization of this project. After all, it is at this level that it is easiest to implement edits or other changes that the client would like during the release. It usually takes 3-5 days to implement edits after the first release, depending on the complexity.

The next step is the implementation process. After making changes from the customer, we install the design on the CMS.

Selecting a host and domain

The basis for creating any website is choosing a domain and a host. If we choose a host based on performance and capacity, then a domain is one of the most important aspects of creating a website. Here we take into account the client’s brand name and the likely history of the brand. It is very important to choose a clean domain or one with a good history. Even better, one with a similar theme.

For example, if you are creating an online women’s clothing store, a domain with the history of a medical clinic will be irrelevant. That is, it will be suitable and will serve faithfully, but it will take longer to promote, because it is important for search engines to get an impression of your site and trust it. And since it used to be in medicine, and now it is fashion and style, the search engine has to re-form a trust for you.

We chose the domain roomcoworking.com.ua and checked it through the resource web.archive.org. The “time machine” showed us that the domain is brand new and has not been used before. This makes it possible to create a new history for it and effectively build a trust.

Basic SEO and warranty for a new website

Why do we collect the semantic core? We do basic SEO for a website already during its creation, it includes:

  • collection of the semantic core and its clustering;
  • formation of the site structure;
  • creation of metadata for pages;
  • technical edits at the level of website creation (depending on the subject matter and complexity of the site);
  • creation of content for the landing pages (texts, placement of pictures/photos);
  • linking.

What does it give to the site? After the release and indexing, the site will be able to take good positions for keywords in Google search results.

We also provide a guarantee of website indexing. That is, using the example of our website for RUUMKOVORKING, after its indexation, the site has already hit the TOP 10 for the query “coworking Ivano-Frankivsk”.

Website layout process

Website development is a structured process where each step is important and forms the basis for the next. The structure of website development at MyZi Digital Agency is divided into:

  • filling out a brief by the client and fixing the wishes;
  • creation of a preliminary website design and its approval;
  • setting up a host and domain;
  • installation of a suitable CMS and implementation of the approved design;
  • testing the website functionality;
  • implementation of basic SEO on the website;
  • opening the site for indexing by search engines;
  • monitoring the correct indexing.

This is the order in which our website was implemented. Structured work and constant communication with the client allows us to realize the customer’s idea and maximize the opportunities for promotion and reaching the top of search engines.

We implemented the site on CMS WordPress. Ukraine hosting allowed us to reduce the integration time by installing this CMS on the host itself. Since we are making a website with basic SEO, we could not ignore technical optimization at the host level. A set of features and edits helped to improve the site’s performance, create the necessary redirects, and install a secure SSL certificate.

That is, we did everything at the host level:

  • installation of CMS WordPress;
  • technical optimization and redirects;
  • security settings and https;
  • setting the website theme for further layout.

The next stage is the layout of the website theme. This allows you to maximize the adaptation of the website to the customer’s wishes and the previously created design. This stage involves 2 releases:

  1. after design adaptation;
  2. correction and adaptation of the mobile version;
  3. implementation of technical edits and basic SEO.

If the first stage is clear, the second stage is the final one. At this stage, the client receives a full-fledged ready-made website with SEO. What does basic SEO involve?

  • collection of the semantic core and formation of the site structure (client’s wishes and semantic requests);
  • technical optimization (redirects, performance, Robots and Sitemap);
  • writing texts for the main sections to be promoted;
  • creation of linking in the footer;
  • legal documents (terms of use, privacy policy, etc.);
  • control over the correct indexing of the website.

Implementation of basic SEO, as described above, does not mean 100% of getting into the TOP 10 of Google, but it increases the chances of achieving this goal. We guarantee getting into the top 20 after our work on relevant queries.

What do we have as a result?
